For those of you who remember the Hedgehog of DOOM
I unfortunately am here to report that the Player is BACK but not with that character.
( Meet... Usagi Uriko... and then regret it )
I weep. I just... fuckin' weep. What makes it even funnier is this man asks for open input on the character and I am warned to NOT RISE TO THE BAIT by my friend (who I raged on about this privately because I have to be Miss Nice Lady). I almost wish we had an approval process... but 'open forum' means... tragedy happens.

Look, I know you are enthusiastic about joining my roleplay, and that makes me really glad that you are...
but when I ask you not to make profile until I am finished with my own, I don't mean for you to go ahead and start working on yours behind my back. There is a reason I am having the players who have already reserved spots wait - it's because my profiles are going to have key details that pertain to yours. Since all of our characters are starting out as a "team," there is definitely already going to be some history between them, and I want to make sure we are on the same page.
And just to let you know..."reserved" does not mean that you have been "accepted" into the roleplay. That means that you have gotten passed the roleplay samples and have moved on to making the profile stage. I can still deny your entry. Normally I don't after I have accepted your roleplay samples, but in your case I might make an exception. You have already proved to me that you can't follow rules and not only that, but from what I can see in your profile so far...it is completely God-moddish and Mary-Sue. And I really can't have that.
Also...just to add to that...
I asked you not to make your profile yet and you started...not only that but you haven't even been accepted yet and you have ALREADY written an introduction post to the roleplay?! You have no idea what the setting is [since I haven't had time to write it yet] or know ANY details whatsoever and you are already jumping right in! WTF?!
In short...you're definitely not getting in now. Sorry. [Well...I'm not really sorry.]

Just felt like taking pics of her as I find her somewhat interesting, doesn't help me to get her ready to sell -_-

It’s about school and family. And constant stress and trying not to collapse. It’s about body imaging and binge eating. Of talking to Roth for only five minutes a day, and searching for another outlet. Another outlet for everything. It’s deep, severe depression. The kind that never goes away. That’s all consuming. It’s about the future with the juxtaposition of barely being able to wake up in the morning. It’s about what I want and how I almost refuse to know.
Except that I want this to stop.
I’m so tried of everything. The signs are there. The constant sleeping and eating, the apathy. The wish for something more. Or else. Will it be like this when I flash forward? Because we all know this is the entirety of the past.
I was driving last night and I started listing out everything that was wrong. Why it was wrong. I started bawling uncontrollably and prayed for someone to just hit me. To get it over with. I really, truly for the first time wanted it. And then I just cried harder.

Okay, I get it. You don't like the pairing X and Y were playing. That's fine; no one is expected to like everything. You don't like it because it's icky slash and breaking up a canon pairing even though the one character's canon love interest isn't in the game and he's taken from a point in canon before the pairing even happened? Okay, that's your opinion, and like I said, you don't have to like the pairing.
But for the love of God, can you stop being a coward and complaining anon-ly about it? No one is forcing you to read their threads. It would be one thing if they were OOC (they're not), playing solely for the sake of sex (they've never even done a sex thread), or if they were rubbing the pairing in everyone's faces (again, they're not). What's even more amazing is the fact that you're still complaining even after one of the players dropped. Are you really that butthurt?
Look, I hate horribly OOC slash pairings as much as the next person, but this was not a case of that. X and Y spent months building up to it and put a lot of work into the development and it showed. I don't like seeing you badmouthing their efforts just because the pairing wasn't your cup of tea.
If I knew who you were, you wouldn't be getting any more tags from me, because that kind of petty, judgmental behavior leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Go focus your rage on people who actually are butchering characters for buttsex, not two good players.

You whine and cry about not knowing rules which were put in place nearly four months ago. You scream you can't be punished for cursing over the limit due to not knowing what is and not a curse. You seem to be unable to read anything at all unless it's a loophole in the rules you just think you found.
Then you make the mistake of telling me I "can't" punish you for these. The problem with people like you is that you ruin a game. You abuse the game and the systems in place to always make sure you're on the winning side and you think that this knowledge will save you from punishment. And it will from the lesser mods. But not this one.
You cry and you beg, you demand and threaten. In the end you resort to petty flaming on my msn because you find you can't post on the site for some reason. And then even there you are blocked.
I'll go on, you'll get unbanned. Life will continue and then at some point this circle will come fully around and it will happen again.
Being a rule lawyer does not save you. I just wish to dear god you would quit trying to do it in my ear.

TL;DR - the character you play is not a tiny, vulnerable boy. He's a big man capable of beating the crap out of some of the most dangerous people/monsters. Try and remember this.

Dear Player A:
You played a character that I'd initially loved from a film I'd loved when I first saw it. You brought this character into the game, and portrayed him as weak, scared of everything, and completely unable to adapt to change without OH so much angst and drama, for MONTHS on end. I disliked this portrayal, but it had been long enough since I saw his canon that I had no idea the extent to which you ruined him. Then, one day, I watched his canon with a close friend who'd also been avoiding your character, for the same reasons, so that we could remind ourselves why we'd loved this film when we'd seen it, before you'd come along.
Twenty minutes in, we realised that the character, while repressed and awkward and a bit bumbling at times, was in fact cunning, brave, a rather good liar when he had to be, and able to adapt to strange situations when thrust into them unexpectedly, with relatively little fuss. This wouldn't do. I emailed my findings to the other mods, and we emailed you telling you that we'd noticed this, and that he was suspended from play until you filled out a new application for him that demonstrated you had an actual grasp of the character, not the whinging dramabucket you'd been playing. We didn't hear back from you for a couple of days, and because we weren't sure if you'd decide to flounce or stay, we told you we were TEMPORARILY removing him from the cast list since we'd been updating it anyway, and the moment we got your re-written application, he'd be back on and you could continue playing.
So WHY OH WHY must you then IMMEDIATELY go bemoan to your friends about how we "kicked [character] out of the game"? And refrain from mentioning until pressed that you were "allowed" (you WERE encouraged, not allowed, but whatever) to re-app him when your friends got defensive on your behalf?
I'd thought you were a decent enough person who wasn't the best at characterization before. Now I just think you're sort of a dick.
Glad you never sent that re-written app in,
Baudy
ETA: I should point out that we had been having other problems with Player A already, and that the play suspension is a regular policy in our game when things are being discussed between mods and the player regarding the play of a character.
Dear (potential) Player B:
Okay, here's a hint: When you publicly play a character basically acting the exact OPPOSITE of everything that's provided in canon, you may not want to mention you're the person who plays them when you app to a game that's already "kicked your friend out" due to characterization issues. It wouldn't have made a difference, we knew who you were regardless, but STILL. Playing a character who was the future's answer to a secret agent, was sent to sex, drug, alcohol, AND murder rehab (and relapsed from ALL OF THEM), who is very much a "I will sex any and all comers, one at a time or all at once!" sort of person and seems to have no real moral compass on his own, and making this character MARRY some chick, stop killing and things just 'cause she wanted him to, and making him a proud daddy who works for a FLORIST or something like that? That's not IC. That's nowhere in the same HEMISPHERE of IC, unless there was, I dunno, BRAIN DAMAGE involved. If it's AU, and you can make me believe it with slight differences in temperament and personality, fine, but it was CANON, and that shit is not on.
Okay, fine, you app, fine. I'll read it. The first thing I notice? You mention you're making him a new journal. You haven't made it YET, but you give us the username that you'll be giving him. Just because I'm a pedant sometimes, I want to make sure that it's even AVAILABLE. Guess what? It's NOT. In fact, it's been taken since 2005. But, okay, that alone is not enough to deny your application with any sort of dignity. How about the rest of it? The appearance and personality are mind-numbing, the history is so poorly written I have very little idea what's going on, and the writing sample is bad enough to cause me to make faces that made my girlfriend laughed hysterically.
I applaud you for not complaining when we denied your application. But, on a whim, I went to your public journal a few days later to see if you'd pitched a fit - mostly out of morbid curiosity, and so I could laugh. And what do I find? You've applied with this character to THREE "srs bsnss" RPs, and ALL THREE denied your applications. You said sarcastically that there must be something wrong with the way you RP, but I'd say that actually YES THERE MUST BE. So you will stick with games that don't require you to fill out an application or anything stupid like that. Heh. Okay. Please do. That way, I'll never have to risk running into you and your HORRIFICALLY BASTARDIZED CHARACTER.
Laughed my ass off when I got the app, and harder when I denied it,
Baudy

Dear you,
I have a dare for you. Can you play a single character who isn't an attractive and clumsily cute young girl? From a rich background but kicked out by her father for reasons undisclosed? Who gets mad OOC and starts flaming people if the world doesn't immediately begin to revolve around her? Because that describes every character you've written for the past five years. I went back and checked. FFS you made a gorgeously attractive and clumsily cute Space Marine. A Dark Angels Space Marine. Completely unironically. You simply copy and paste your old character in, change the names around and go to without paying any attention to the setting or plot.
Also, how dare you bully GMs. How dare you threaten to flounce off if the group votes for going down one path and your lone dissenting vote is overruled. How dare you spam my PM box and IM saying that I'm a shitty GM because I wouldn't let you RP smut in a PG-13 forum. How dare you expect your Ctrl+V Self-insert Mary Sue to be given better treatment by the GM because "we're totally old friends". No we're not. I don't like you, and I never really did.
As Renee Decartes so eloquently put it in his moving philosophical treatise À la recherche du temps perdu: Fuck you buddy.

Seriously. You guys talk about being the top game of your genre. Stop being so friggin' clique-y. You've got players who are more than willing to play small parts, but you have to INCLUDE them.
#1 - If you want to play a canon, make them canon. Don't fudge with them, because you don't like something about their history/persona. It's NOT an AU game.
#2 Stop with the same people always being in the drama. Your character does not need to be the one shot/lost/kidnapped/tortured/etc every single plot line. REALLY. People will still like them. How about you let some of the other players get a little of the drama in, let them develop their characters more. The more developed and faceted a character, the more possible avenues of RP!
#3 If you just feel you aren't getting ENOUGH attention, and your character isn't feeling 'Speshul' anymore? At least make the drama workable. Not something that A) You think of and decide it'll be fun! B) Would get anyone else killed, but ohnoyerspeshul! C) makes no linear sense with your character's previous actions at all, or D) Would get any other character in serious trouble, but again you are a speshul snowflake, and you just float above it all!
#4 Pay attention to the plot's AREA. Knowing WHERE you are, and how the landscape is set up, is a good thing.
#5 Don't offer plot spots/RP up on general, and then wimp out, because you didn't get your BFF's response first. If you're only playing with one person 95% of the time or more, with a group of well over 20 players? Maybe you should make your own private RP. Just a thought. I understand having someone you like to play with a lot, someone you prefer over anyone else. *I* have someone like that. Guess what? We have our own RP on the side for that.
#6 Drama is GOOD. Drama can be FUN. OVERDRAMATIZING is bad, okay? Taking things one step over the line happens. Three giant leaps over? Shouldn't.
#7 When you ask for RP, and have it offered to you? Don't just completely wuss out and ignore the person. A polite 'No thank you, I don't think that scene would work very well." is an amazing thing. Or discuss if the person has another character that could possibly interact in a way more fitting your mood!
#8 Don't cut someone else off, who's trying to RP with you, just to go RP what you'd LIKE to be your OTP. It's rude. People besides your RP BFF have feelings too.
Just a list of simple rules to RP by.

There is a difference between cliquey players, and players who get bored and therefore stick to the people they know and trust are going to be reliable.
You can't really sit on your ass, waiting for plots and scenes to fall in your lap, and then call the rest of the cast cliquey because they aren't falling over themselves to play with you. Yes, admittedly, there should be an effort made to reach out to new players and it sucks when it doesn't happen, but at some point you've really got to meet people half-way and put yourself out there.
If people shun your attempts, then by all means, call them cliquey. But they're like spiders - they're more afraid of you than you are of them. Make an attempt first.

I have to take my hat off to you, dude. Seriously.
This character of mine is the sweetest, fluffiest, most adorable person on earth. She believes in love at first sight, love conquers all, love is good in any form and she cries when someone has to kill a fucking ZOMBIE to protect her. She was betrothed to a vampire from the Nosferatu clan, despite being a Toreador, and is so fucking naive that she ran all the way from France to where she is now, JUST because she honestly believed he wanted her to. She wears pink and white in the World of Darkness, writes poetry and loves flowers.
...how the FUCK did you manage to scare her OFF?
Kudos, my friend. Kudos. Not only have you been stalking my characters, trying to get one of them- ANY of them- to sleep with yours, but you pull this new character out of your 'vault,' throw him into circulation, and instantly find a reason for him to be attracted to her.
He had a lover. Right.
Another Toreador. Okay.
With blue eyes. ...
And rose-red hair. -.-
...who sang...
And whose name is *remarkably* similar to my character's name.
...okay, I even understand where that's coming from. Desperately seeking an IC excuse to chase my poor, sweet, innocent little virginal vampire halfway across the city, hoping to seduce her. Gotcha. Fine. Whatever.
What *really* puzzles me is that you somehow thought telling me OOC that your character really had a 'thing' for her was going to stop the plotline she was ALREADY in. Or that you somehow thought your character telling her that she resembled the dead lover he 'can't let go of' was going to make her leap into your arms. Yes, she's so sweet she's given half the vampires on the game cavities. Does that mean she's stupid? No. No woman wants to believe she's being used as a replacement for a woman who died. Especially not when the new woman in question is already being blood-bound to another vampire, who has a much greater attraction for her than yours!!! Forcing her to dance with you, hanging onto her when she's trying to get some personal space, and tracking her back to her home... NOT the way to go, seriously.
And then you complain at me OOC when I kindly give you the heads-up that she won't be around for a while because of the plotline she'd been involved in BEFORE you showed up. ...excuse me? No. I think not. Take your libido, go buy a few toys from Eros and let the drama calm the fuck down. You are two seconds from getting slaughtered, and it won't be my character that does it. There are many other people here who are losing their patience with you, and they're more violent than she is.
(And the scary thing? This is the same person I posted about before. *facedesk* I'm too nice. I need to stop playing with this jackass.)

I seem to be having an uncanny amount of sucks this month. Which is -odd-, since I'm not RPing near as much. Most of them aren't postworthy. This one is from friday, and it didn't occur to me to post it until now.
Dear person with the ditsy mage,
When I set a scene with my character five or six feet underwater (and said that in pretty much those exact words within the post as well as a lot of other underwater description)... Having your character come up and tap him on the shoulder as though the rock he's laying on is on land is a bit... Odd. The fact that your post was posted not even three minutes after mine (these are long multi-paragraph posts) makes me think that you didn't even read my post and just wrote yours ahead of time. The fact that you were confused when I asked you if she'd gone into the water with a spell so that she could talk or something just makes it even worse.
You were really embarrassed once you realized that my character wasn't even in armsreach of the surface (despite us having planned this all out the day before), but please to be reading my posts before you respond to them. It's not a race, and I was studying so it's not like I was going to reply quickly anyways.
Love,
The person with the merboy

Watch the trailer. Movie looks like it could be super cute! I'm getting all sorts of Linguini vibes from the main kid, though, hmm. The viking chicks are too cute, really unclassically adorable which is great.
Also, please watch the trailer for this:

and get absolute GOOSEBUMPS. I guess it's going to be a series? I can't find much information on it, but I guess some guys from Gobelins is/was working on it. Sweeeeet. I'd like to know more
Also, I watched Monsters vs. Aliens with my nephew a couple days ago. While it really wasn't amazing, and the humans had wretched designs, I have to say that I really liked Susan's character development. She went from wanting nothing more in life than to be a blushing bride to suddenly wanting nothing more than to be a giant woman who fights robots. Like, it wasn't just a metaphor to be more self confident, she literally wanted to fight things and be huge and punch through steel. That was really fun
And there was a bit in the movie where a couple at lovers lane sees a spaceship crash land, and I just loved how the roles were reversed in that scene. The girl was trying to get into the guys pants, and he was terrified of the spaceship and the girl wanted to go check it out. That was really great, I'm sure it went right over the heads of kids
SO. Is there anything amazing coming out any time soon? Princess And The Frog is looking better all the time, honestly! I really hope it does not suck
I can already tell that Dr. Facillier is gonna be one of my fav disney villains
I love voodoo stuff in movies
